The Six O’clock Frenzy

It seems that our expectation, of just how everything should be. Does not come from experience, but what they show us on TV. The news reporters are scrambling, to find anyone they can blame. Instead of telling what happened, they’ll play manipulation games. They’re looking for the big bombshell, willing to do what it might take. To get their show the highest rates, no one cares if it’s real or fake. They’ve made a new reality, must be true if it can be seen. In full color High-Def broadcast, across our small video screens. But if we’d pay less attention, to the bull crap that they’re giving. Then maybe we just might find out, life without them is worth living.

Nicely put, Jerry. Enjoyed your investigative journalism in rhyme. The last stanza is definitely one of the answers to life's unfound fears, for sure.

accurate words with wisdom and truth sewn in. Television has the power to shape culture, for the better or the worse...from where I'm sitting it seems to be for the worse. I appreciate your train of thought and agree. Have a splendid week, Sara
