The Sins of the Blue

The sins of the blue how could this be true
I thought I could trust you its something
I thought you wouldn't do you committed this
this awful mass that broke my heart in half

How could look me in my eyes and stare so deep
with lies stored in your soul to make me weep I
thought I could lean on you, I thought I could call you

my everything, I thought in time of need I thought I
could call you my rock my heart you would always shield
instead you left mix messages, none of friendship only

for me to be hurt so I fled and ran for cover to protect
this now weeping heart friendship is a beautiful relationship
when you tear the layers and ruin it the scars can be sometimes
everlasting

I'm not done believing in the power of such a gift to have a
friendship makes all sense to this.
