The Single Mother

A single mother is standing alone
And she will cry when nobody's home
Staying up late with thoughts in her head
Doing everything she can to keep her children fed
A Single mother is the only one there
When the kids are afraid, or are feeling alone and scared.
Holding them tight to keep the monsters at bay
Having the right words and knows what to say
Teaching boys to be men And girls self respect
When deep down inside She's an emotional wreck

Wow I’m feeling that. I’m a single mom. I get it. Like the poem. Can relate. :)

This is a plight I truly feel for and can't imagine how difficult the difficulties are. It is a 'boat' full, unfortunately, and I think all in said boat would concur with your expressive poem. Blessings and light ... (I hope writing helps as therapy) ... CayCay (yes, I assumed this write is your reality)
