The Singing Elf
Oh, Lord, have mercy for I am undone
I'm lost and lonely please send me someone
I turn and I wander and cannot believe
I've lost my bearings on this Christmas eve
I should be with Santa for I'm his Elf
He trusts me surely he'll tell you himself
I held the reindeer up there on the roof
When Blitzen stepped on me with cloven hoof
I fell from the house and landed in snow
Then looked up in time to watch Santa go
But he's got toys and schedules to keep
The world is big and the snow is so deep
Now I'm in a village and don't know where
North Pole is that way, but I can't walk there
Oh, Lord, have mercy for I am undone
I'm lost and lonely please send me someone
