The Singing Bauble

At first I wasn't sure what I was listening to, if anything at all
but as I moved a little closer, sure enough she was singing
The Christmas branches hummed and the tinsel drummed
and the figurines beneath the tree gave sighs of sweet relief

At first I wasn't keen on a bauble that could sing a Xmas song
I had failed to read the fine print ,yes the box had clearly stated
"no batteries required" so I figured she was just a bauble
like the other ones I tucked away each year, oh but she was not

Every time the spruce was lit she'd light up like a Christmas tree
 and with her acapella voice she'd sing me my favorite song;
"Oh Silent Night" was pure delight to hear with Christlike cheer
each time my bauble-een sang up, it was a living Holy dream

At first I wasn't sure I wanted a bauble that was so socialistic
but as she sang my worries disappeared as I turned idealistic
she brought me such joy and taught me how to be altruistic
in a world so mundane she was an exceptional bauble- Mystic

So it was no surprise that at the end of the season I kept her
safe in my trinket box, where the rest of the year waited
for the uplift of Christmas again. He is my Lord and my Savior
he made the music and bauble, made me creative and free

Today I am glad I own such a bauble, I listen without squabble
and thank God for creating her and I thank God that she's able.
