The Singer

The singer sang
There was a bang
She fell onto the floor
The gunman fled
The singer bled
She won't sing anymore

The policemen came
Thought it a shame
How the singer met her death
The audience booed
They were rude
Because they felt bereft

They all stayed
Because they had paid
The policemen showed them the door
They all said no
They would not go
They would wait for an encore
