The Simple Things
The smell of coffee freshly brewed
the comfort of a worn pair of shoes
Taking a nap on Sunday afternoon
first flowers of spring in bloom
Finding ten dollars in the pocket of your jeans
getting two scoops of your favorite ice cream
Thinking dinner is liver and eating steak
no speeding ticket getting a break
Enjoying an old movie that's really good
everyone pitching in at work as they should
Extra bacon on my breakfast plate
being early for a date and staying late.
