The Simple Life

THE SIMPLE LIFE

VERSE 1:
Common sense is telling me
you’ve had a change of heart
well what you see is what you get
you knew that from the start
we’re just being who we are
with different points of view
possessions never meant to me
what they mean to you.

CHORUS:
Wanna feel the grass between my toes
sleep in the warm sunshine
enjoy a brisk walk in the rain
with nothing on my mind
breathe in clean fresh mountain air
the lingering scent of pine
take time to count the stars
and drink some dandelion wine.

VERSE 2:
Our trailer by the tracks
the whistle of the midnight train
knowing how each day begins
and ending it the same
hope you find what you’re looking for
cause undeniably
our time here is what you make it
it’s the simple life for me

CHORUS: REPEAT

Bridge:
The world ‘s nature’s living portrait
the view is always free
the answer’s right outside your door
how simple life can be.

CHORUS:
