The Silence of My Friends

What hurts most is not the words of my enemies 
But the silence of my friends
A quote from Martin Luther King 
Have you kept quiet
When you should have spoken up
Has this meant
Unnecessary suffering for people 
You care about
Where were you in their time of need?
