The Sign

A ‘keep out’ sign is on a gate,
But that is not the house’s fate.
People come and go each day,
Welcome to always come that way.
The sign doesn’t face the street,
So the sign is obsolete.
But at some point in time
Someone felt the need to put up the sign.
A story that doesn’t get told;
Questions that never behold.
The world is full of history,
If only we were to see the mystery.
