The Shortest Distance

Since the shortest distance between two points
Is always going to be a straight line,
Then which direction should you bend your joints,
When you start looking for the exit sign.
Where you are, right now, is where you begin
Down the road towards where you want to be.
If you do not move, where will you be then,
When the lost time is all that you can see.
Keep moving forward, and then you will find
The joy in the progress that you have made.
Measure the distance, when you look behind,
Then, focus on the path that has been laid.
So, keep moving forward to reach your goal,
Successfully satisfying your soul.
