The Shopping Trip

I took a trip to Omaha
For an appointment

On the days that I
Have an appointment
I don't generally shop

Lack of time and energy
When I mentioned that
I'd like to shop a little

The person that I get
To drive me for the trip
Agreed to drive again just to shop

The trip was scheduled for yesterday
On the way to Omaha
There were other passengers

We all got to talking
And laughing and joking
The day was so much fun.

Now I know a trip to the city
In story doesn't say a lot
And I wouldn't even bother to mention

Except,
We found a little craft store
Signs in the window

Said going out of business
Everything Must Go
50 - 80% discount

Even this part of the story
Probably has few Spellbound
But I found a favorite thing

A sign with a sentiment
I'm sure I've heard before
But this time seemed
Not so easy to ignore

You see this precious sign
Speaks little, but says much

"Let your smile change the world,
But never let the world change your smile."
