The Ship Is Sailing

The Ship is Sailing
By David J Walker

The ship is sailing
And there is no going back
the shore you were sure of
Is further away

The ship is sailing
Under the flags of
Gods at odds over
Control of
Wind and sea

The ship is sailing
And the day to day
Is the same as same
So the sane read quietly

The ship is sailing
And there is a port en rout
Where everyone
knows your name

The ship is sailing
And you wave unseen
To those onboard
As the Harbor Master
Checks your passport
