The Shining

It shines on me with the warmest beams
as it sets a light over all of earth
and it sits beside everything unseen
spilling above everything that's worth

touching all that's been left untouched
it'll fill this planet until it's done
there's nothing that I've loved as much as that firing, orange ball of sun

It's superior to the coldness as each side of earth waits it's turn
It's dangerous to us too if we go about it wrong
but it's helpful and is our source as it sits to burn
and it's here for as long as we need it and more until it grows less strong
