The shadow and light
The Shadow and Light
Both come out to play
The Light at night, and
The Shadow at day.
Shade is good in the
Day's hot, searing sun
And a single match
Destroys darkness’ dun.
And neither is good
Nor evil, I say.
For darkness needs light
As noonbright needs shade.
Be then both the light
And the shade. Noontime’s blessing
And midnight's Great Bane.
