The Shadow

Beep... beep... beep, I look over and see his face, Following the line on the screen, He asks me why it beeps in that place, I tell him in a soft voice, That shows the rate of my heart, But before I could get all out, I suddenly fall completely apart, Dad whats wrong with you, Why are you starting to cry, I still don't have the courage to, Tell him I'm bout to say goodbye, Come over here son and sit beside me, Grab my hand and hold it tight, I want to feel the feelings, That you have when you pray at night, As my son begins to pray, I see a shadow appear in the door, The beeps start to beep faster, I can't hold on to much more, Son I love you very much, Please don't forget what I say, The shadow grabs my hand, And gently takes my life away, Son I'm sorry I had to leave you, This is not how I was suppose to end, I'll always be right beside you, Guiding you so we can be together again!!
