The Shadow

WHERE WILL THE STORY END
WHAT ABOUT HER
LOST IN THE SHUFFLE
AND THE WITCH HUNT ROARS
THE BOATS AREN'T FLOATING
THEY'RE SPEEDING
THEY'RE CHASING
THE DISCO BALL IS FIRE RAGING
AND SHE'S LOST
AND NOT FORGOTTEN
THE WIND NEVER STOPS
AND I HEAR HER THERE

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.

What a tormenting thought.....when I wrote my poem on my shadow, I was thinking of being a mother and wife and not getting any me time. It is frustrating being a mother at times.

Welcome to Poetry Soup. I do wonder if the mystery surrounding little Casey's death will ever be solved. Twelve jurors agreed her mother was innocent, but the public outrage lingers. Great write! Best wishes, Carolyn
