The Secret Storm

She did not love the man she knew
The one she must stay faithful to
And in her mind forever judged
She could not know the man she loved
And though another held her heart
She lived her life and played her part
And catered to her husband’s whim
And raised a family with him
While in her heart her lover stayed
She never faltered or betrayed
And though such loyalty seemed cruel
Her memories became the fuel
She used to keep her passion warm
And shelter it from secret storm
