The Secret Obligation

Much is said about the Bow
God has put into the sky
the beauty of it's colours
that vainly posses the eyes

The curls of waves
that reach the shore
at times the making of hills
That men do often tame
and ride for fame and thrills

The taste of fruit
made by plants
That women gather for food
Covered by skin protecting within
the sweetness that we use

The perfume of the roses
reach the hearts
of those to whom they propose

The songs we sing
like bells ring that
call to one and all

The prayers we pray
each and everyday
produces all this and more

All the senses that God gave us
with which, He us, adores

Rainbows and roses... those are the simple pleasures in life... not enough people realize this, nor do they take advantage of their existence... You write beautifully of them, John!
