The Search

I haven't got too much of it. I know it's true, it's true. For if I did, I'd gladly give, Some of this costly thing to you. For, the world has so very little of this precious commodity. It's lack has been the cause for countless wars, as one can plainly see. If I could find one person with just an ounce of this, The secrets would be oh, so clear. The treasure would indeed be his. Oh, if i could just find it, This thing I'm looking for. I don't mean to be greedy. Although, I need a little more. To help me with the hard times, when things I do turn out bad. For, I know it's all because I didn't care to use what little of this I had. Now, I wish that I could make a certain recompense. Yet, I fear that is shall spend my life in a search for Common sense.
