The Seamans Life

There's a light that shines from a distance
To safety shores it guides
Without this light to show the way
On the sea I would abide

My ship be fraught with danger
We fight the rugged waves
My vessels strong we struggle on
The crew be strong and brave

We reach our destination
We've reached our journey's end
We'll dance and sing and drink some gin
Until we sail again
