The Scuba Diver Meets His Mermaid
In the ocean she swam that day, pure as snow.
She was gorgeous, and her white tail was aglow.
He was confident, thinking his scuba gear was sound.
Never realizing he was in trouble all the way around.
She had an inkling that someone was going to be in trouble
So she rounded up the sharks, and locked them up in double.
He had no idea that his scuba mask was going to fail
Or that he would meet a mermaid with a beautiful tail.
Their meeting was a conspiracy between the corals and a whale.
They thought it would maybe end up a romantic sweet fairy tale.
The corals have magic powers that are truly ocean known.
And the whale can change things rapidly with a secret moan.
So the meeting went as scheduled. The diver’s mask was no good.
The mermaid swam to his rescue, as any beautiful siren would.
They communicated with telepathy – the human and the maid.
And frankly they were both too inspired to be a bit afraid.
The mermaid grabbed the human, and took him to the top
Not letting anything or anyone make them pause or stop.
The man found himself on the surface, struggling to breathe.
But she had disappeared, so was it true? And would anyone believe?
