The Scrooge In Me

The holidays are coming,
My mask it hides a scrooge.

Though I participate in the events.
My heart is cold and blue.
I have no reason to be happy,
Cause its incomplete without you.

Holidays are about family,
Yet ours is torn apart.
Though you are not here with us,
You will always be in my heart.

I hope that you can call.
At work I know you'll be.
I will say my praires at night;
That he'll bring you back to me.

This mask I wear to hide the tears.
That stain this face with pain.
You have always been our hero,
Now this Nation will feel the same.
