The Scenic Route

It seems that for our journey through life a road has been paved. That some say we must travel for our souls to be saved. Well that might be the path for the average man. But It's not for me, you see I have my own plan. I will build my own road and probably pave it with doubt. But it will take me where I need to go, this much I have figured out. I think our time on this earth Is just a short stint. Filled with too many judgments and rules made to be bent. Though the decisions I make are not always the best. And usually going against the flow of the rest. I have to say I like the dark corners, being on the edge of the cliff. I never want to look back on my life and wonder what did I miss? So if ever you can't find me, I'm doing fine there's no doubt. Those who truly know me well, know I'm taking the scenic route.
