The Scars

THE SCARS You're my everyday attire, with pride I wear you, I embrace you, I have survived. Noise coming from every corner, I choose to shut my hearing. I know my pain, I know my victory. I have survived. My scars, my physical reflection of my emotional pain. Through you I heal, through you they know. To me you're not a shame but a reflection of I am a survivor, a mark of my journey. With pride I wear you, I survived. The emotional pain that only I could feel, now they see. You're not a shame but an evidence that I have a story to tell. One day they'll understand, you were not a choice but an emotional pain that pushed so hard to the surface. I wear you with pride, I have survived.
