The Saving Light of Calvary
The Saving Light of Calvary
Stand not in the shadow of the cross
But rather in its saving light.
For the shadow portrays death;
The light makes sinners right.
There’s no sin so great
His forgiveness cannot touch.
He’s healed them all before,
Because He loves so much.
Stand not in the shadow of the cross
For there it’s too hard to see
Anything other than hardships;
The world’s constant misery.
The Saving Light of Calvary
Lights up all the world!
You have the choice today;
The result of your choice to be unfurled.
The Saving Light of Calvary
Makes shadows a thing of the past.
Look forward to the light
For this old world won’t last.
Joy and peace will attend your soul,
When you stand in the Saving Light.
Even if the future appears bleak,
Christ will give you insight.
For The Saving Light of Calvary,
He suffered more than we can know.
All he asks is that we surrender
Our lives to him here below.
