The Sadness Around Us

The sadness around us, it lingers in the air, A weight that's heavy, a burden hard to bear. It's in the eyes of strangers, and those we hold dear, A collective grief that seems to be always near. We see it in the news, in the stories we're told, The pain and suffering that never seems to grow old. It's etched in our history, a scar we can't erase, The reminder of a time that we can never replace. It's in the silence of the night, and the stillness of the day, The quiet whispers that never seem to go away. It's the ache in our hearts, the tears that we shed, The memories that linger long after they're dead. The sadness around us, it's a part of life we know, A reminder of the fragility of the human soul. It's in the beauty of the world, the joy that we find, The light that shines bright, even when we're blind. So let us embrace the sadness, and the pain that it brings, For it is through our struggles that we learn to spread our wings. Let us stand together, and hold each other close, For it is in our love and compassion that we find hope.
