The Runaway
Whispers in the darkness
Keep her sleep away
Tormented by her fear
She awaits the coming day
The dealers and the hustlers
Her only companionship
She never thought it would be like this
When she started on this trip
The allies and the doorways
Her shelter from the rain
She only has to take the drugs
To drive away the pain
Forced to sell her body
In order to survive
She tells herself it's has to be
Just to stay alive
A child of only fifteen years
In a world of sin and shame
This is the life of the runaway
With only herself to blame
