The Rose

THE ROSE

Lustrous, regal, symbolic, a crown

Withering, drying, petals fall down

Held between fragile fingers

The perfume of the rose lingers

very nice, how its perfume still lingers! I have two other grandkids, sisters of Hyrum, margaret. I wrote poems about each of them, but Hyrum, being the oldest and also my favorite (yeah, grandmas can have favs too!) he has the most poems to his name! lUv, andrea
