The Rooftop
On the rooftop of an abandoned building,
Overlooking the mighty blue sea.
She danced her worries away
While the sun slowly disappeared in tranquillity.
Her beautiful n colourful Aura,
Swayed with her every move.
As she danced to the beat of her heart,
Her soul moved with a rhythmic groove.
With the sounds she heard around her,
She created her own musical beat.
The bells around her ankles,
Added a unique sound as she moved her feet.
She danced and danced for hours,
As though she was in a world of her own.
One where she expressed herself fully,
When left completely alone.
The ethereal light from the moon,
Created a magnificent spotlight glow.
As though the Gods' from above,
Where watching her on show.
She began to slow down,
Caught her breath n came to rest
Cooled herself with water
and felt a little refreshed.
She looked at the breathtaking view.
A blissful moment she experienced every day.
One her dad taught her to appreciate,
When he use to bring her up here, after ballet.
The rooftop holds many priceless memories for her
And a place her parents use to share their endless love.
A kiss on the cheek felt, as a gentle breeze passed her by.
Tears rolled as two bright stars twinkled at her from above.
