The Rock Pool
I can stand for hours watching the life of the pool go around.
Sparkling, shimmering water.
Sandy bottoms surrounded by tiny green rock faces,
All dotted by little caves,
Sprigs of waving sea weed in all different hues,
Only this sea weed moves in this watery jewellry box.
Just sit still and watch, a tiny head pops out of one of the green rock face caves,
The sand slowly erupts as a tiny crab gets brave.
The pool becomes more and more alive,
Until it is again engulfed by the incoming tide.
