The Road I Despise

Confusion seeped in, What had I found? For which rocky path was my soul truly bound? You had all of me some time long ago. I fell to my knees-- inhibitions let go. But light and hope faded, as darkness prevailed. My attempts for redemption had dulled and soon failed. I now take a breath, as tears flood my eyes. Have I made it too far down the road I despise? Enveloped by terror, no strength to proceed. Still I turn toward Your path and follow Your lead.
