The Road Ahead

I ponder the road I'm getting ready to face.
I wonder if this road will carry me someplace.

Even if the road I travel is gloomy and dark,
I will not explode but will extinguish the spark!

If I come to a crossroad, a choice must be made.
I will decipher the code, for I will not be afraid.

These cobble stones can be such hell on the feet.
I will walk alone, even if I find myself on a backstreet.

The journey within me may cause some emotional bloodshed.
But my travels will be universal poetry on the road ahead....

Well done, Jimmy....you took this to a whole new direction...rather like an Ekphrasis approach! Nice!
