The Road

The road of life is very strange
Never to know
What’s in store
Or what lies behind the next door
With its twists and bends
And its ups and downs
With the joy and pain
Its all around
We live our life
The way we choose
Never to know
What its like in someone else’s shoes
Constantly ignoring those around
Especially those who carry a frown
Their pain and sorrow
They keep bottled up inside
Not daring to show the hurt they hide
The pain and sorrow
That they feel
All it takes is a friend
To help it heal
Someone who understands
And knows what its like
Someone who has lived
Through the twists and bends
The ups and downs
And for them to tell you
They made it through
And their still around
Life is hard this my be
And sometimes its hard to see clearly
But never be afraid of the life lived
But be afraid of the life that is unlived
So no matter how hard it may get
never cut your life short
Always strive to live
Because you never know
Where your life will take you
Or the places you might go
Hopefully this helps someone through
All the choices in life are up to you
