The Road
Good winds
contain sorrow
as sorrow
holds anger
to nil.
A bright day
of content
destines to follow
fanning foreign flames
stilling them
to a glow.
Snide grins and
smugness cease
due to her subtle
inner smile.
Away from
the valley
distant horizons
call softly
while heed is taken
after weathering
meaningless lost miles.
Unending joy awaits
on the gentle wings
of a more certain path.
