The Rivers Edge

The River’s Edge Strolling on a summers eve Along a grassy meadow's stream As my reflections from the past Flow by me like a dream I once was such a bitter man Who had no hope in store But summer seasons melted ice Unbinding me once more To finally dream of better days As the roaring river lets me know To reach a better place in life The past must be let go You can still find happiness To you this I will pledge If you go do what I once did And walk the river’s edge By: Jeremy Siedlecki
