The River
The calm water of the river hitting the boat hull
Gives me the feeling of being rocked in the
Cradle gently to sleep.
Yet, when I am excited and filled with interest
There is no rest on my adventurous quest.
For a while the only thing I am conscious of
Is the mysterious deep.
The calm water of the river hitting the boat hull
Gives me the feeling of being rocked in the
Cradle gently to sleep.
As I watch for manatees it's exciting to see flying
Fish and fish leap.
My attention then goes to the sky where I see
All manner of birds. There are spectacular
Sunrises and magnificent sunsets as the sun
Fades in the west.
The calm water of the river hitting the boat hull
Gives me the feeling of being rocked in the
Cradle gently to sleep.
Yet, when I'm excited and filled with interest
There is no rest on my adventurous quest.
