The Rising of the Son
"Jesus Christ the Lord is risen in glory
Forevermore we kneel and pray before thee."
The sky is alive with the sound of Angels
Celestial refrains of heavenly voices
For Jesus Christ the Lord has risen today
They sing of the news and the world rejoices.
Weep thou not for the Lord ye of weeping hearts
For it's not the close of Jesus Christs mission
The chosen will maintain what He started
Alleluia the Prince of peace has risen.
Jesus died for us on that fateful Friday
In agony He bled from hands, feet and chest
When cruelly soldiers nailed Him to the cross
Yet, He asked "God forgive them" with His last breath.
For us evermore as Jesus had promised
Those who repent of sin shall be forgiven
Celebrate, commemorate the Lord’s earth life
Alleluia to Christ, star of the vision.
Sing with the Angel voices, trumpets and harps
At the festival of the resurrection
This day of euphoria and thankfulness
Praise the Lord for giving our souls protection.
Alleluia the Prince of peace has risen
Alleluia to Christ, star of the vision.
