The Rise and Fall

You and I, we together, rose above
And then with a crashing, we together fell
You showed me unconditional love
But now I live in pure hell

You took the time to make me see
And you widened my blind eyes
So that I could believe that someone could really truly love me
Family, friends, and God now put up with my cries

I'm left here to live my life without you
But do you really think you can just wish me away
I'm still in love with you, I and know you feel the same about me too
Can't keep those feelings pushed down, they have no where to go because they refuse to
stray

One day you will come to find
My memory you just can't leave behind
And that love, true love, is not just how you make it, and it don't have to be blind
Open your heart and eyes, it's still me right there in the back of your mind

It's my voice that will forever haunt you in your dreams and reality
You will never be able to get away from the sounds of a woman that intensely loves only you
Time has seemed to have cast a spell over you, break it, break out of your fantasy
Once you clearly see it again, you will know what to do

Yes you and I, we together, did rise
And then with a crashing we did fall
Honest unconditional love is never in disguise
We can still have each other again, forever we can still have it all
