The Right Side

I was on the right side of the Great Divide,
and shore side of the incoming tide
but the wrong side of you

We were on the dry side of that Tennessee pride
and you were drive side when we hit that RIDE (b)
which saved me from a DUI. (b)

I take life in stride, look for the bright side
with eyes open wide, savour life’s slow glide
but your leaving left me blue.

So weird (and wonderful) to read a poem here with Ontario lingo! In my neighbourhood there are a lot of e-bikes, due to the high number of DUIs ;), Pleasure to read, have a lovely day ~Maureen
