The Ride

The Ride

It doesn’t seem right with all my might
I can’t take a flight through the years
Back to when I was just twenty-one,
Just to have some juvenile fun.
It doesn’t seem right or even fair
The roller coaster ride will subside
I feel like that kid that we all met
Loudly asking if we are there yet
In my case it is all about me.
Where I am going will set me free.
We know if it’s ever found that’s swell
But nobody has been back to tell.
