The Riddle Or the Rhyme

Here it goes again
    taking me too far.
Small and simple are the things
    that leave a lasting scar.
Another day of trying times
    along the road of life.
Though, sometimes we escape the cut
    we often touch the knife.
Depending on how well we cope
    with sad and happy times,
Eventually molds who you are
    the riddle or the rhyme.
