The Reward

Norman’s been missing for many a month; The signs offer money if found. There actually aren’t, as far as I know, Too many Chihuahuas around. New posters are up; the reward has been raised – Five thousand, a heftyish sum. If somebody has him, you’d think they’d respond For it’s difficult not to succumb. Alas, I suspect that poor Norman’s long gone – Deceased or sent far as the moon, But I feel for his owners and hope that somehow They’ll find Norman again one day soon.

Where else can one find a chihuahua named Norman, but in a verse from Ilene Bauer! I am still laughing. Of course, in NYC, nothing can be ruled out, I guess... Thanks for the chuckle, Ilene! ~ gw

I always wonder the likelihood of someoe seeing a dog missing poster. Hopefully he is with a new owner and not dead. You have a poem for everything under the sun, dear. Love that about you. I'm going to the windy city soon but wanted to at least respond to folks who wrote me on the 21st. I am so behind here!

Very cute Ilene. It is a sad day when one loses a cherished pet. Here's hoping Norman finds his way home soon.
