The Retribution

By Parizo Van Thulare

When sadness shuts the heart
Loneliness enters the brain
Happiness evades
Emptiness unlocks the gates

The last tear drops
That true love stops
No more goodnight texts
No more greetings left

Feelings get bottled up
All the love gets locked up
No more smiles
Those eyes start to reveal pain

Hatred starts to camp
He comes along with his army
Once they camp inside the medulla
They drain every thought
Each and every memory left gets dried by wind

Revenge pays a visit
Jealousy exceeds the limit
Adrenaline comes running
 Guns come rattling
They swallow them all
Love leaves them lying on the floor
