The Real Truth

Written 14 October For: No. 1249 New Poetry Only Contest Sponsored by Brian Strand The Real Truth Transmitted over the ages Through long- dated divine scriptures And by trusted saints and sages In various creeds, cults and cultures, The chronicle of creation Of the entire universe By the very word and action Of the Almighty Supreme Lord Is a truth worth penning in verse Whom to ignore one can`t afford. It is a truth that has survived The onslaught of modern science And has ever remained alive In the realm of allegiance Despite the surge of theories Of occurrence of the big bang Or such evolution stories, That in controversy still stand. The creation of prime matter, The infinite space and the sky, The ocean sprawling with water, Fowls freely flying in the high Creatures teeming in the seas, And earth with grass, herbs and fruit trees Are all witness to divine acts That remain as definite facts. The unshakable real truth, Genuine and definite, in sooth Is creation of primal man By the unique, merciful Lord In His own image as a friend As inscribed in divine records In spite of strides science has made Man stands out as a mystery And a mist unlikely to fade From man`s mind and his memory, Now or ever in the future Despite all science may nurture. Such a mystery lends credence To creation by the Supreme Lord, Whose will we need to take on board, Who merits thanks and allegiance And certainly, our faith and trust That guide us to the path that`s bright And perform noble deeds as a must That dispel the darkness of night. Creation of the universe By the Supreme Almighty Lord Remains the real truth on earth That cannot ever be ignored, That will gleam till will live mankind, Until the sun on earth will shine, Until the moon and stars will chime Until the very end of time.
