The Real Thing

But dreams feed fantasies: that I'm happy to say, can't beat the real thing. I see a leaf unfurl upon a barren limb; and it summons a smile. Inhaling a breath of fresh air, I feel so good, that I could run a mile. Where sullied snows melted green grass re-emerges, and wildflowers follow. I see a robin in the corner of my eye; hunting worms: to swallow. And I can feel life's zest reawaken; as Spring's warmth helps crocuses bloom. And as grey clouds depart, a bright burst of sunshine disperses Winter's gloom.
