The Real Deal

Pulled from the depths of despair
       by the hair
my own hand doing the yanking

Never forgetting as I struggle
to shore
Who I really should be thanking

Given the strength by ONE
 greater than
All situation or cause

I marvel at his long suffering
At his mercy
meditatively pause

A peace soon comes upon me
flailing in this
dark troubled sea

Of mankind roiling
Within white capped wave
help me no part of it to be

As I pray that HE patiently
continue please to
Work on me to bring me to life to revive

Without HIS power
HIS kindness His Love
I'd scarcely be found alive

I will not fight
God's life saving effort
given freely when all was lost

To bite the hand
that has spiritually fed
Will not stupidly pay this cost

I put before you today
HE spoke
The blessing or malediction

Know as you choose friend its
You making the choice and
That this is no work of fiction
