The Raindrop
She shot from a cloud,
And soared through the sky,
Pure and simple,
Clear and driven,
The raindrop was heading places,
From the top of the sky,
The world at its feet,
The wind blowing by,
She stared at the Earth in defeat,
She dove down,
Streaking through,
Unable to halt,
Not able to stop,
She fell to the ground,
And she burst wide apart,
She died with no sound,
For that was her part,
She saw the whole world,
She raced through the sky,
She tore through the wind,
And she touched planet Earth,
But no one,
No one,
Will remember,
The raindrop from the sky.
