The Rainbow During the Storm
We are all different and unique
from our skin color to the way we speak.
We all could use a little lesson
because if you look around, we are all regressin'.
We are forgetting where we came from
and day by day, society is growing numb.
There is not a single politician I would vote for
and each day the door of life, closes a little more.
All of us are searching for harmony and truth
we should start thinking again, like we were the youth.
The older we get, we think kids don't have a brain
maybe we should step back and see clearly through the rain.
The only place racism and hate can be bought
is from our peers, where it is taught.
At birth not a single one of us will discriminate,
not a single one of us knows how to hate.
We are all aware of the stereotypes said
too bad we can't erase them from our head.
You are no different from your opposite
but it is your own mistakes you won't admit.
I wish that everyone from the youth to old-timers
would wake up one day, with Alzheimer's.
To all of us this world would be a strange place
but at least we would all come together, as one human race.
We are all different and unique
from our skin color to the way we speak.
We all need to look through the reasons why we complain
and during this harsh storm, enjoy the rainbow, made by the rain.
