The Rain Today
God, father,
peace in space
how far will you let me go
the rain today
in graceful wind
touched my side like lustful skin
I remembered then
a thought,
long since past
An afterthought
of how I see
your unseen face
In every vessel
you create
trees, rain
hills
enzyme
I could never
search, refine
your place, your throne
above
all smoky clouds
in life, in love
you hypnotize
what do you want,
why did you bring us
why do you taunt
my heart
A prison, arcane
I don’t remember
I don’t know
a time in life
when even-flow
through my incased
place
rest
I’ve known no peace
at best
you tease…
say you don’t
I couldn’t tell
with games
I blow on sails
to treat you like
your own creation
I have my lies
my bribes
fascination
in life
time
to death
i dane
soft as skin, was the rain
you're beautiful
why would you bring
the sage of youth
and winsome truth
to futile
rich
soil to breed
without the option
to succeed
